THOMPSON EMERGES AT THE 3M OPEN
218th ranked Michael Thompson’s emotional 2nd tour victory and first since the 2013 Honda Classic, featured a fluid and aggressive approach to attacking the unexpectedly soft fairways at the TPC Twin Cities. It was Thompson’s first tournament win in 2, 702 days (167 starts). Due to his strong putting over the weekend, Thompson finished 19- under at the 3M Open championship winning by two strokes. The win qualifies him for next months major PGA Championship and has added a relieving level of job security over the next two years.
